    • National On-farm Emergency Water Infrastructure Rebate Scheme The National On-Farm Emergency Water Infrastructure Rebate Scheme (NOFEWIRS) is a three-year, $4.6 million Australian Government-funded initiative. The scheme is administered in Western Australia by the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation. The scheme will provide rebates to eligible commercial farmers of livestock and pastoralists in rural WA (including share farmers and graziers with properties or leases in the grazing industry). The rebates will cover costs associated with the purchase and installation of on-farm water infrastructure for animal welfare needs and to improve resilience against stock water deficiency.     • Meekatharra Youth take out 2019 Showcase in Pixels award Many congratulations to the youth of Meekatharra, the Shire Youth Services team and Youth Focus for working together so well on this years entry to the WALGA showcase in pixels competition. Despite the yout being aged between 4 and 17 years old, they won not only the High School award, but also the overall award. Read More
