Meekatharra’s beloved annual celebration has a fresh new name — The Spirit of Meekatharra. Formerly known as the Meekatharra Outback Festival, the new name reflects something deeper than location or tradition; it captures the heart of what makes Meekatharra truly special — its vibrant, inclusive, and creative community.
The Spirit of Meekatharra invites locals and visitors alike to come together, create, celebrate, and feel the unique pulse of this incredible outback town.
The 2026 event will be held over the King's Birthday weekend from Friday 25 September - Saturday 26 September.
