Meekatharra Aerodrome

Runways

Meekatharra aerodrome consists of runway 09/27 being a sealed surface of 2181m and a gravel runway 15/33 of 1065m.

Landing fees apply.

Fuel

Aircraft refuelling is available in parking bay 1. (AV Gas & JET A1) Self serve (Swipe Card) for non pressurised and Pressurised by the agent. If Bay 1 is in use GA aircraft can access the Avgas bowser via the GA parking area taxiway.

Aircraft Parking

In addition to the Main Apron area (3 bays) a sealed light aircraft parking area is available.

Bay 4 is also located in the GA parking area being suitable for B1900 and below

Tie down points are provided for light GA aircraft (Ropes are your responsibility).

Bay 1 - 24hr operations and refueling, Bay 2 - Day operations, Bay 3 - Day operations Bay 4 Day operations. 

Apron line markings are for F100 and below.

Terminal

Terminal facilities are only manned during Regular Passenger Flight or mining charter arrivals & departures.
The terminal DOES NOT have a public phone.

Mobile Phone Service

ONLY Telstra mobile services are available in Meekatharra.

Passenger Services

Currently flights operate on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Check with SKIPPERS AVIATION as to the current timetable and routes.

Royal Flying Doctor Service

RFDS operate a base from the airport. These operations occur 24hrs/7days a week with aircraft coming and going as required. The office is open during normal business hours and whilst visitors are welcomed by staff the museum which was part of the school of the air no longer operates.

Taxi Services

There are no Taxi Services operating in Meekatharra.

Further details or operating requirements can be obtained from the airport manager on 0417 968 115. Visiting groups of aircraft should liaise for best times to arrive so as to avoid peak traffic periods.
