Roadworks Main Street

The Shire of Meekatharra will be undertaking roadworks on the median strips on Main Street (Great Northern Highway) from outside the Shire Office to outside the Royal Mail Hotel as well as on Savage Street between the Shire Office and IGA.

The works will include demolition of the existing median strips and complete rebuild with new kerbing, upgraded surface and an additional pedestrian crossing. The works are scheduled to take place from 11th April for approximately one (1) week, between 6.00am and 6.00pm Monday to Sunday. Further brief surface treatment and mural application works will occur during the following month with dates to be confirmed.

Temporary traffic management measures will be in place during the project.

This will mean temporary disruption to traffic including periods of single-lane traffic and restricted parking.

Adjacent businesses will be contacted directly and parking restrictions outside the businesses will be kept to the minimum.
