Meekatharra Walk Against Family Violence
Wednesday 25th November 2026
Together We Walk, Together We Stand, Together We Make a Difference.
Mission Australia invites the Meekatharra community to come together on Wednesday, 25 November 2026, for the Walk Against Family Violence.
The Purpose of Our Community Walk
The Walk Against Family Violence is more than just a walk. It is a demonstration of unity, strength, courage and community spirit. It is an opportunity for us to stand together and send a strong message that family violence has no place in our homes, families or communities.
We walk to raise awareness, break the silence and stand alongside those who have experienced family and domestic violence. We walk to honour the lives lost, acknowledge the courage of survivors and remind those who may be suffering in silence that they are not alone.
Family violence affects women, men, children, families and entire communities. Its impacts can last for generations, leaving emotional, physical and cultural scars that are not always visible.
Every person deserves to live free from fear, violence, intimidation and abuse. Every child deserves to grow up feeling safe, loved and protected. Every family deserves respect, dignity and peace.
By walking together, we demonstrate our shared commitment to building a safer future for our children, families, Elders and future generations.
